Growing up in Pennsylvania, Emily lived with her Mom, Dad, younger brother, and younger sister. As a kid, she attended public school at Spring Grove, participating in an array of activities, most of them being art-related. While she wasn’t in school, she worked at various service positions around town: waitress, barista, and stadium worker. Following her high school career, she pursued an education at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY, as a painting major. Currently a rising Junior student, Emily has recently been exploring color as a means of creating form, integrating oil painting into her practice at the start of 2022. She believes that the viewer’s perception of each piece doesn’t have to fit what the artist originally intended, as the color and abstract nature of each piece may evoke a different association for different viewers.
